Breakthrough with Tony Robbins: Helen
I recently went to UPW Orlando and then UPW New Jersey. I have suffered from Claustrophobia and anxiety for about 20 years and had a huge breakthrough in Orlando. By the time I left UPW New Jersey I could do everything I hadn’t been able to do or had great difficulty doing.
I stopped in NYC for a couple days to visit my children on my way home. I rode subways, stayed on the 28th floor of a hotel, was in countless elevators, flew home. All with no anxiety whatsoever. I kept saying to myself…Just bring it on…I can do it. My phobias were gone.
But the big thing is that for two and a half years I tried to get the guts to go visit my Mother who was living with my Sister in Pakistan. She was handicapped with brittle bones, chronic pain and Parkinsons disease. Too weak to come home.
I was anxious and afraid to hop a plane in to the “political hot zone” and feared I would panic , or perish or run into some circumstance that would be catostrophic.. My fear stopped me from taking the journey I needed to take. I wanted to see my Mother before something happened to her and felt her time to leave this Earth was near.
I got a call about less than three weeks ago that my Mother was gravely ill. My Sister told me to get there as fast as I possibly could to let her see me before she died. I decided I would go even if it killed me. I was on my way to Washington DC to get a Visa and then on to Pakistan within 36 hours. I made the journey half way around the world by myself with at lease 35 hours of travel time each way.
I didn’t make it in time to see her die but I arrived in time to pay my respects, kiss her, hug her, bury her and support my Sister, Nieces and Nephew.
I wish I had had the courage to fight my phobias enough to travel to her long before her death but I thank you and God that I was able to conquer these phobias and made the journey that I was destined to take. I don’t believe I was fearful one moment of the trip short of the normal fears one would have when the Taliban was residing in a city only 60 miles away from where I was staying.
My Mother had a moment of awareness and I was able to tell her over the phone that I was on my way and I’m sure that meant the world to her. That was priceless. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart for taking me through this transformation to be a better and stronger person. Words cannot express my gratitude.
Sincerely,
Helen
